The Window on America Center at the Sumy Oblast
Research Library has a wide range of resources and materials providing
up-to-date information on the United
States. The Center's holdings include
reference materials on U.S.
history, government, society and values. Computer and internet access
is available at the Center, as well as classic and contemporary literature.
For people learning English, the Center offers TOEFL guides (both print and
CD) as well as English-as-a-Second-Language instructional workbooks.
The Center's DVD collection of classic and favorite American movies
(including Academy Award®-winning dramas, comedies, musicals and
documentaries), are available for viewing by visiting classes or groups. Call
the Center for more information.
The Center has
a movie watching program “American Movie Night”. Every Wednesday we invite
our patrons to watch an American movie.
